Guest speaker Courtney Pasco, graduate student of French at SUNY Oswego, presented on uses of Google Earth in the German Classroom with a special focus on the Berlin Wall in preparation of the 30th anniversary this year. Participants experimented on scavenger hunts using coordinates, Google's timelapse imagery of geographical sites, Google Voyager and other practical uses of these apps for the German classroom.
Ipads with Google cardboard were also sampled using Youtube VR videos that gives the experience of being right at the East Side Gallery.
Following the presentations, new officers were elected and a vote put to the attending membership on the revisions to the Chapter Constitution. The newly revised Constitution is now located on the sidebar of this website.
