Aufgepasst und zugehört! Frühlingstreffen CNY AATG

CNY AATG members were enraptured by Susanne Nimmrichter's workshop on best practices for presenting listening comprehension activities in the foreign language classroom.  Dr. Nimmrichter came to us from Millersville University, Millersville, PA and began the presentation by challenging our own practices applying to listening comprehension activities.  Unexpectedly, many of us learned that the methods we use to test and practice with our students aren't necessarily set up to enable the greatest success.  Most of us came away with a fresher perspective and understanding of strategies to ensure best comprehension and fair assessments. 

It was commented that "this was one of the best workshops we have ever had."

Thank you to Fayetteville-Manlius schools for hosting the workshop and of course, to Karina Von Tippelskirch for organizing such a worthwhile workshop, and acquiring the perfect presenter for this topic which is applicable to all levels of German instruction.
