CNY AATG members were treated April 13th at Onondaga Community Collge to a thorough overview and samples of German Schlager in a presentation by Binghamton University Assistant Professor, and current CNY AATG Vice President Harald Zils.
Required singing along during the presentation proved the usefulness of the musical style to classroom teaching. Several workshop participants waxed nostalgic about the melodies and were deeply enthusiastic to hear and sing these iconic songs from the mid 1940s to 1980s.
