Central New York AATG members met at Fayetteville-Manlius High School on Saturday for our spring meeting. Members welcomed guest Irene Motyl from Barnard College, who presnted the Telenovela in the German language classroom. "Verliebt in Berlin" was the most popular telenovela among Germany's television viewers, and thus this show was the focus of her presentation.
The adaption of pieces of the pilot episode for use in the classroom provided teachers with material to hit "the 5 Cs": Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons and Communities. Moreover, we were entertained!
